Wired Cameras
Wired CCTV cameras are the best option if you are looking to install cameras. As all cameras are wired they are extreemly reliable. Power is not an issue and in the event of a power cut a battery backup system can be installed

- Possible recordings for upto 3 months or more.
- No need for cloud storage as all recordings are stored locally , but can be an additional option.

Solar cameras
Solar has come along way in the past few years and the improvements to the solar CCTV systems have made it a usable solution. We would normaly see solar being installed in remote locations where power is not an option. Solar CCTV systems rely on sunlight and the cellular network to communicate.
Some things to consider.
- Cellular network coverage for remote viewing of the CCTV
- The main considerations is the sunlight hours per day
- Limitations on the type and style of camera available.
- Limitations on the amout of recordings stored.
wireless cameras
With more than 30 years electronic security industry experience, we do not recommend a wireless CCTV system. Whilst there is a time and place for a wireless camera setup, we will do everything in our power to install wired IP cameras.
Some things to consider.
- They are generally Battery / Solar panel powered. When using batteries only they will need charging from time to time and a solar panel on the front of your house looks ugly
- To preserve the battery, its often programmed to record when movement is detected and only for a short period, making the chance to miss something high.
- This is generally a short-term solution.
- Possible ongoing cloud storage fees
